VIDYALAYA AT A GLANCE

KENDRIYA VIDYALYA,BALCO was established in 1975 and is situated on the North West outskirt of serene & enchanting atmosphere of BALCO (Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd.) township just near by Rama Temple, beside a small Rivulet resembling a glimpse of natural beauty and with a catchy landscape just behind the institution.

This Vidyalaya primarily serves the educational needs of children of BALCO employees by following the CBSE pattern of syllabus and instructions and the guidelines of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, NEW DELHI.

Being a project school this Vidyalaya has children from all the state of India that is children from Himachal to Kerala and from Gujrat to West-Bengal. This Vidyalaya infuses into its students the excellent educational standred and as giving shape to the vision of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan,"Tattwam pushan apavrinu"

AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA

1. To meet the educational needs of the children of transferrable establishment, Central Government employees including defence personnel by providing a common programme of education.

2. To develop the Vidyalaya as a model school in the context of the national goals of Indian education

3. To intiate and promote experimentation of education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE & NCERT etc.

4. To promote national integration.
